The Hebraic roots of our faith in Jesus Christ is very important for us disciples of Yeshua (Jesus). When Christians celebrate Jesus in the Feasts, they are not “putting themselves under the law or trying to be Jews”.
There are those who call themselves “Christians” and ignore the whole council of the Bible. They reject Bible prophecy and despise Israel. They also make false statements about true Christians who want to express their desire to return to the biblical roots of the faith. One example of these false statements is something like “Those Christians on the Jewish movement say that all believers in Christ are obligated to follow Jewish laws and practices from the books of Moses”.
Christians who want to return to the biblical roots they rest on grace. It is a matter of rest and never legalism. It is the desire to fully understand who Jesus is, what He has done for us and how to walk with him.
Because of the prophetic season we are living, millions of Christians are realizing that is good and pleasing to the Lord to celebrate Yeshua (Jesus) in the feasts. By doing this Christians experience a number of benefits such as: A- A renewed passion for Jesus. B- A better understanding of the Bible. C- Spiritual growth and bonding among family members. D- A fuller comprehension of G-d’s plan of redemption. E- A better understanding of the prophetic times. F- Love for the Jewish people and understanding of the role of Israel in Bible prophecy and current events.
We can realize all these benefits above in our own lives by celebrating the Feasts of the Lord as they find their fulfillment in Jesus. You don’t have to. But this is a great way to identify with Jesus our Jewish Lord. It is a blessing not a charge. Is based on love, not legalism. When we celebrate the Hebraic roots of our faith we see the story of Jesus throughout the whole Bible, enjoying the development of the story of G-d entering into a blood covenant with us through His son.
Thank you Lord for who you are!
