The “Abraham Accord” Israel-UAE

The Jewish tradition alludes to four messianic figures, called the four craftsmen, from a vision of the prophet Zechariah. Those four craftsmen are discussed in the Babylonian Talmud and other Jewish sacred literature.

The four craftsmen as Messiah ben David, Messiah ben Joseph, Elijah and the Righteous Priest.   Elijah will be the herald of the eschaton and, if necessary, Messiah ben Joseph will wage war against the evil forces and die in combat with the enemies of G-d and Israel. In the sefer Zerubbabel and other writings, after his death a period of great calamities will befall Israel. G-d will then resurrect the dead and usher in the Messianic Era with Messiah Ben David reigning as Jewish King.

In the Christian tradition, the prophecies about the end of the days and the future of universal peace in the Messianic era are taken out of the Tanakh (“Old” Testament). Before the permanent peace, a very turbulent period of great calamities that will fall over Israel and the world.

Many see the announcement of the “Abraham Accord” as the first step of the fulfillment of Daniel 9:27 – “The pact with many”. Yesterday, August 14th, A joint statement by US President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan – the crown prince of Abu Dhabi – announced the a peace deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, is the first since Jordan signed such an agreement in 1994. “the peace agreement paves the way for full normalization of diplomatic, trade and travel relations between Israel and the UAE.”

Does that mean we will see the start of a broader relationship between Israel and the Persian Gulf states ?

Netanyahu said: “I believe there is a good chance we will soon see more Arab countries joining this expanding circle of peace.” More and more Gulf countries want an agreement with Israel as a shield to protect them from Iran. This will obviously help Israel with its conflict with Iran and put more pressure over the so called Palestinians. The “Abraham accord” announced yesterday changes everything.

Prophetically speaking it is a monumental step yet to be understood.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
